Monahans, TX - It was a story you saw first on cbs 7, about the monahans' best western mistreating a paralyzed iraq war hero. Now the hotel chain has changed its policies after the story went nationwide.

Best Western came to an agreement with the american hotel and lodging association's educational institute to sponsor an industry-wide training on how to assist guests with disabilities.

The chain is making it mandatory for all front desk employees at best western hotels in north america to take the training before working at the front desk.

Representatives from the chain say they are advising their international affiliates around the world to do the same.
