KERMIT, TX – A budget workshop in Kermit tonight may bring changes to the landscape of the city.
City Manager Wanda Hise tells CBS 7 they will be discussing the cost to paint over the Kermit the Frog water tower.
They will also be discussing how they can pay for city employee's water bills.
The city wants to pay for each of their 42 city employee's water bills, up to 100,000 gallons a month.
Hise says they need the incentive to keep employees from leaving to work in the oil and gas industry.
Kermit has six to eight job vacancies right now.
