One Stolen Car Suspect Arrested, Another Still At Large in Pleasant Farms Incident 8/9/12

The name of the subject arrested in Wednesday’s pursuit in Pleasant Farms in South Odessa is Daniel Hinojos Jr. DOB of 06/09/1992.

He is charged with Evading Arrest/ Detention, a class A.

Bond was set at $1,000.00 and he remains in custody at the time this update is being sent.

Hinojos was a passenger in the vehicle that ran from Sheriffs Deputies Wednesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle has not yet been located and the investigation continues.

Date/Time Occurred: 08/08/12 Approx: 9:22 a.m.
Location: Area of 7500 Gold Street in Pleasant Farms
Type Of Incident: Suspicious Vehicle/ Possibly stolen
Ector County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the7500 Block of Gold Street in Pleasant Farms in regarding a suspicious vehicle that was possibly stolen.

Officers went to the area and could not locate said vehicle in the area at this time.

Deputies returned to the area a short time later to try to locate vehicle when one of the responding officers spotted a vehicle matching that description.

The officer turned on the emergency overhead lights to attempt to stop the vehicle at Conestoga and Quail Road when the suspect’s vehicle took off at a high rate of speed.

Speeds in excess of 90 mph were reached in pursuit of this vehicle.

DPS officers also responded to assist.

The suspect vehicle continued to evade officers, refusing to pull over.

The vehicle drove off into a pasture and 2 subjects bailed out and began to run.

One of the suspects was captured a short time later in the field and the other remains at large at this time.

A DPS helicopter was called in to assist in the search along with K-9’s from the Texas Department Of Corrections.

Officers continue their search.

Subject is possibly a Hispanic male, last seen wearing a red shirt and blue pants.

The subject in custody is being questioned by officers at the scene.
