CBS 7 is learning more about the alleged shooter in Big Lake.

According to the “Brownwood News” newspaper, Marcus Wade Madison was arrested back in July on a charge of Assault Family Violence with Injury. Brown County Sheriff’s deputies say Madison assaulted a woman at his home.

According to the report, deputies found injuries to the victim’s head and that her dress had been ripped. The couple had been at a friend’s home drinking and had gotten into an argument.

Madison resisted arrest and continued to fight deputies. He also made threats that he would assault one of the deputies once he go out of jail if he ever saw the deputy again.

He was also charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstruction/Retaliation.
