Midland, TX - The dinner rush is nothing new for Chick-fil-A, but the reason behind it has some even coming to the fast food restaurant for the first time ever.

Today we spoke with the owner of Chick-fil-A in Midland about who says the support has been overwhelming.

Lining up by foot and car, chicken lovers showed up after the threat of a national boycott on local Chick-fil-A’s.

Gordan Schrank, the Owner of the Midland location says, "This morning they were lined up at 6 a.m., it's been go, go, go all day long."

Customers are taking to the highways even just to make it to one of the few restaurants in West Texas.

"A lady told me they drove all the way from Fort Davis to eat at Chick-fil-A today. That's three hours, that's pretty amazing. That's humbling."

Some lines even lasted for more than an hour, and according to the employees behind the counter, customers aren't complaining.

"They've been overwhelmed by how patient people have been."

"We couldn't be more thankful and humble."

Some customers tell us they haven't been to a Chick-fil-A in years. And for others, this is their first time.

They’re all here, they say, to take a stand.
