A 25-year-old Hobbs woman has signed a waiver of extradition after being arrested in Alabama in connection to the May 10th murders of Jay Doyal and John Allen in Gaines County.
That's according to the Seminole Sentinel who reports that Mata was charged in Alabama with Fugitive From Justice, but her case was dismissed according to Shelby County Criminal Court Supervisor Jill Smitherman.
Gaines County Sheriff Jon Key tells the Sentinel that the investigation into the cases continues.
No word yet on when Mata will be brought back to Texas.
