Big Spring, TX – Recent rainfall hasn’t stopped the breakout of grass fires in Howard County.
Two grass fires in the past week have had fire crews on edge.
Howard County Volunteer Fire Chief Tommy Sullivan says the recent rain has helped, but not near enough.
He says his crews were out late last night fighting a 100-acre grass fire and out late Sunday fighting a 250-acre fire.
Investigation of the two fires are still underway, but he is urging all people to be cautious.
