Midland, TX - Today west Texas golfers “tee-ed” off for the annual Oil Patch Kids Invitational Golf Tournament in Midland.
Oil Patch Kids serves at-risk youth within the Permian Basin. The children served are victims of abuse, neglect or other circumstances that put them at risk of not being able to attain basic necessities.
They said the generosity of our fellow west Texans has been beyond overwhelming, year after year.
"We've done this for the last 4 or 5 years. It's a huge part of our fundraising and our chance to give back to unprivileged children in west Texas," said golfer Don Baeza.
Since the inception of the tournament, they have donated more than $600,000 to local organizations.
