Mom, Child Die in Houston-Area Fire, Cause Sought 7/19/12

HOUSTON (AP) - Investigators say a woman and her 7-year-old daughter have died in a Houston-area house fire that left another family member hurt.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported around midnight Wednesday near Aldine (AHL'-deen).
Authorities believe the woman's husband tried to rescue her and their child, but was overcome and suffered burns. He was transported to a hospital. Further details on his condition were not immediately available Thursday.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined. Names of the victims were not immediately released.
