Mom, Child Die in Houston-area Fire, Cause Sought 7/19/12

HOUSTON (AP) - Investigators say a woman and her 7-year-old daughter have died in a Houston-area house fire that left another family member hurt.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported around midnight Wednesday near Aldine.
Authorities believe the woman's husband tried to rescue her and their child, but was overcome and suffered burns. He was transported to a hospital. Further details on his condition were not immediately available Thursday.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined. Names of the victims were not immediately released.
