BSFD Gets Fire and Emergency Service Career Exploring Program 7/19/12

Big Spring, TX - The Big Spring Fire Department will have some young faces joining them in the coming months.

The Fire and Emergency Service Career Exploring program is open to young men and women ages 14 (and who have completed the eighth grade) and not yet 21-years-old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field.

Participants will get first-hand experience about what it's like to be a full-time firefighter and emergency service provider.

Classes meet monthy during the school year. The Big Spring Herald reports most programs parallel the high school calendar and begin in the fall.
Program Costs:

Participation fees are $15 per year.
