Partly Cloudy and Warm Today 07/19/12
Thursday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect partly cloudy skies across the Permian Basin today. Mostly cloudy conditions could be in the offing for locations further south. A large upper level low pressure system is spinning over northern Mexico. This system will drift west over the next 24 hours. As it passes to our south, clouds will move through the area. However, rain chances will be highest in locations south of I-10. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 90’s for all but the mountains. Lower 80’s can be expected in the higher elevations.
Sunny skies will prevail going into the weekend. Expect high temperatures to top out in the mid to upper 90’s Friday through early next week. A few clouds might pop up on Sunday and Monday, keeping temperatures from hitting the century mark.
Dry conditions will prevail through the extended forecast.
