Oncor Electric tells CBS 7 that crews are working several outages in Odessa and Midland. The largest area affected is in East Ector County between Business 20 and Interstate-20. Crews are investigating the cause of the outage.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for east central Ector county and Midland county, effective until 8:30 pm this evening. Heavy thunderstorms continue moving southwest at about 15 mph. These storms have heavy rain, up to 1.5 inches per hour, with lightning and gusty winds. Please be aware of flooding, especially if you are driving. "Turn around, don't drown".

Strong thunderstorms are moving into the Midland/Odessa area, as well as near Stanton and Big Spring. Heavy rain, small hail, lightning and gust winds are occurring in these storms. While the storms are strong, none are severe at the moment. With the heavy rains involved, flooding could be a hazard. These storms are moving mostly south at about 10 mph.
