Carlsbad Man Killed After 2-Vehicle Crash 7/15/12

Carlsbad, NM – A Carlsbad man is dead following a two vehicle crash on New Mexico State Road 31 involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler on Friday.
The driver of the motorcycle, Carlos Duran, was traveling northbound when it ran into the back of the 18-wheeler. Duran and his motorcycle were pinned under the vehicle.
Duran was transported to Carlsbad Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities say Duran was distracted at the time of the crash.
