UPDATE: Police Arrest Man Wearing Football Helmet 7/13/12
Editor's Note: The following is a news release from the Odessa Police Department
In regards to an incident that occurred in the middle of the roadway in the 3900 block of East 42nd Street.
Officers responded to a call of male walking in the middle of the roadway yelling and purportedly directing traffic.
When officers arrived on the scene the male refused to comply to their commands and came at the officers in an aggressive manner.
The subject was subsequently subdued by officers. He was checked my medics on the scene and is now being transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement.
Arrested:
Sean Solomon, 29 years of age.
Charges:
Resisting arrest and pedestrian in the roadway.

We have just learned that it was a football helmet.

CBS 7 Staff Reports
Odessa - Police tell CBS 7 that a man running up and down 42nd Street wearing a motorcycle helmet was detained near 42nd Street and Tanglewood.
Police say the man ran from Tanglewood and turned right onto 42nd Street headed West into oncoming traffic.
