National Night Out is here, and the City of Midland is ready to join the rest of the nation in fighting crime.
On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, hundreds of Midland residents will head outside, joining neighbors, eating good food, and learning more about preventing crime. City Officials, Police Officers, Firefighters, and Volunteers will be visiting more than 70 block parties!
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community relations, and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.
