ODESSA, TX - The Ector County Environmental Enforcement Division says their focus has shifted from trash to oil field service trucks.
They say they're catching tanker trucks dumping dirty water on county roads and in neighborhood streets every day.
Ted Yelley with the county says this water is unclean and could be dangerous if it seeps into the ground because it's oil, water and H2S gas.
The Environmental Enforcement Division has been handing out tickets almost daily because dumping like this is a Texas water code violation.
The county has hired an attorney out of Dallas to prosecute these state violations.
So far the county has sent over almost 30 cases.
