New Riding Arena for Midland Children's Rehab Center's Hippotherapy Program 5/8/12

Midland Children's Rehabilitation Center is enhancing their hippotherapy program.
According to the Midland Reporter Telegram, last year, the center received a gift of $250,00 from Hanley Petroleum, half of the project's cost, in Hanson's memory to begin construction on the new indoor riding arena.
The arena will be used to provide year-round hippotherapy programs to those children with disabilities. There are currently 49 children on the waiting list for the program, and officials anticipate when the new arena is operational they will serve up to 133 children annually.
The 80-foot by 100-foot metal barn-like building will sit on the back of the center's property at 802 Ventura Dr. in Midland and will protect patients from heat, cold, wind and rain.
