Names Of Burn Victims Released
The names of the burn victims from Wednesday's industrial accident that
occurred about 11:30 a.m. in the area of South Highway 385 and 1787 are:
Ralph Allen White
W/M DOB: 06/08/1970
Burned 55% of his body..arms ,legs and back of torso.
Lives in Big Springs, Texas
This subject was flown to Lubbock to the University Medical Center for
treatment.
Fidencio Ortega
W/M DOB: 11/08/1979
Burned left arm and left side of neck
Lives in Dallas, Texas
THIS SUBJECT HAS BEEN RELEASED.
John Delaney
W/M DOB: 07/30/1989
Both arms burned.
Lives in Big Springs, Texas
THIS SUBJECT STILL IN HOSPITAL

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office responded to an INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT about 11:30 a.m. on South Highway 395 and 1787. The accident occurred south of 1787.
Subjects were working on a pipeline belonging to Plain’s Pipeline.
Workers were trying to remove a valve off a pipeline when a flash fire occurred.
3 workers were injured and transported to Medical Center Hospital, 2 in stable condition and 1 that was listed as critical was later transported to Lubbock for treatment.
