Odessa, TX - “Honor Our Troops” is the name of a store inside Music City Mall that sends gift boxes to the men and women in military overseas and they see this shopping holiday as a perfect opportunity for folks to come and give to our American heroes.
It's a store you might pass by without noticing but it's a store focused on one thing: honoring our troops.
"They're sacrificing their lives and youth for us," said Honor Our Troops Volunteer, Alan Demitri.
Their mission is to send a small reminder of home to soldiers deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan; a comfort to them and their families.
"You worry about them constantly and right here at the holidays they're not here and it's nice to know that somebody cares enough to fix things up to send to them," said Marsha Williams who has a nephew in Army.

"During the holidays they know that they're going to get packages and that people care," said Garcia.
The men and women of the military respond with gratitude.
"If you pass by the store, you should stop it, its 25 dollars to send a soldier a box," said Williams.
A box that's worth much more than the sum of its parts.
"If you can make him a little sharper, a little happier that day, that's all worth it," said Demitri
“Honor our Troops” sends 500 to 600 boxes a month and they've sent over 12,000 boxes in the past 5 years.
If you'd like to donate, the store is located inside Music City Mall between Fuddruckers and Sears.
