Fatal Crash In Hobbs 11/25/09

Hobbs, New Mexico - A 28-year-old Hobbs New Mexico woman is dead after the car she was riding in slammed into the rear of a big rig.
Jennifer Luna was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday.
The crash happened around 2:20 on State Highway 18 in New Mexico near mile marker 43.
The Dodge passenger car Luna was riding in attempted to pass an 18-wheeler in the right lane, and then it collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer.
One of the other passengers, a child, was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Dodge and the other two passengers were treated at a local hospital and released.
The driver of the 18-wheeler escaped with no injuries.
