Coca-Cola Collection Finds New Home 11/17/09

Monahans, Texas - For years a Monahans restaurant was the sight of a Coca-Cola collection that drew people from all over.
Now it has a new home.
The collection will now be housed at the Million Barrel Museum in Monahans.
For years the Wetzig's of Monahans owned and operated "The Big Burger" restaurant, and collected from customers and others.
When Mr. Wetzig died recently, the family decided to close the restaurant and move the collection.
Julie Salazar of the Million Barrel Museum says, “I know there is a lot of history behind the collection. I wish I knew the history. The Wetzig's or Mrs. Wetzig knows, and has already been by to see it on display and told us lots of stories. I know it's a big honor.”
The Million Barrel Museum is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
During the holidays, they will open on Sunday’s from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
