Last Veteran's Day a statue of George O'Brien Junior was unveiled in front of the Big Spring VA Hospital and on this Veteran's Day tomorrow Senator John Cornyn wants the facility named after him.
Cornyn introduced a bill for the facility name change.
The hosptial has been working for over a year to get the center named after O'Brien who was a Big Spring native and Korean War Veteran.
The 1944 Big Spring High Alum led an assault during the Korean War and was severly wounded.
However he refused to leave until the fight was over.
O'Brien passed away in 2005.
