Hobbs Police Investigate Shooting 11/07/09

Police in Hobbs tonight are investigating a shooting that sent one man to a Lubbock hospital.
It happened at around 9:30 last night when police responded to a call of gunshots fired in an east Hobbs neighborhood.
When police arrived to the 1600 block of east Dunn Street, they found 46 year-old Leslie Coker, who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Coker, a resident of Liberty, Texas, was transported to Lea Regional Medical Center, and later transferred to a Lubbock area hospital.
Coker's status is unknown at this time.
Police say they do have a suspect in the case, and the investigation continues tonight.
