Neighbors Shocked at News of Gardendale Couple Found Dead in Home 11/07/09

The Ector County Sheriff’s Department today continues to investigate the deaths of a Gardendale couple, who were found dead in their home Thursday with apparent gunshot wounds. At this time, authorities haven't released any more information other than that.
Today, we spoke with friends and neighbors of the couple, many of whom were still distraught after hearing the news of their death.
Neighbors we spoke to say they were a quiet couple, who mainly kept to themselves, but that they were nonetheless a huge part of this close-knit community.
Many neighbors, whether they knew the Coopers or not, are extremely shocked to hear of their sudden death, and just as confused about the circumstances leading up to it.
Right now, they all want answers, and at this point in the investigation, authorities have not released many.
Some neighbors fear the Coopers may have been the victims of a heinous crime, while others suspect a murder-suicide, but nothing has been made clear at this point.
