Presidio, Texas - So far none of the immigrants transported to Mexico through Presidio are opting to stay in Ojinaga according to the Mexican consulate in Presidio.
Illegal immigrants from Arizona are taken to Mexico by way of Texas at which time Mexican officials provide them a bus ticket to the destination of their choice.
So far about 470 have been transported to Mexico since the ATEP program began November 1st.
According to Consul Hector Raul Acosta, the repatriated Mexicans have the right to stay in Ojinaga if they choose to do so.
However, officials encourage the former-immigrants to leave Ojinaga because of the city's suffering economy.
