Food for Fines at The Ector County Library 11/4/09

Ector County Library
November 4, 2009

Odessa, Texas - The Ector County library in conjunction with the West Texas Food Bank will be having a Food for Fines event. Donate food for a good cause and remove your library fines at the same time.

For every eight-ounce can of food donated, the library will deduct one overdue fine on items already returned. Participants need to show their library cards so their accounts can be cleared correctly.

Only labeled plastic or metal containers that are eight ounces or larger are acceptable and they will only cover late fines, not damaged or lost items.

Not acceptable: glass jars, dented or expired cans, cans without the label, bags or boxes.

Program kicks off Monday, November 2nd through Monday, November 30th.

If you do not have fines but wish to donate food, we will gratefully accept your generous donations.

For more information, please call the Ector County Library at 332-0633 or the Department Coordinator at 332-0633 ext. 4025.
