Hunters must have their 2009-2010 hunting license, along with any required hunter education certification. Upland game bird, migratory game bird and federal migratory game bird stamp endoresments must be purchased prior to hunting. If you do hunt migratory birds of any kind, you also need the Harvest Information Program (HIP) notation on your license. It doesn’t cost anything to get it from the license retailer but it could cost you if a warden cites you for hunting without it.
Hunters should consult Texas Parks and Wildlifes Department 2009-2010 Outdoor Annual for Additional changes.
