Kermit, Texas - The Winkler County Memorial Hospital Board is meeting tomorrow to decide whether or not to terminate their hospital administrator.
It turns out this is not the first time administrator Stan Wiley’s termination has been considered by the board.
Now in the wake of the Winkler Co. nurses case, he faces termination but it may not be very likely.
Board member John Walton says this isn’t the first time he’s moved to have Wiley terminated. However, this time, it comes as Wiley’s a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by Anne Mitchell and Vicki Galle, the nurses Wiley terminated.
Walton describes the board as a tight group that has supported Wiley in the past.
Therefore Walton says he won’t be surprised if this move to terminate Wiley is shut down five to one once again, as it has been in past votes.
Wiley has caught flak from both state and national nursing associations for the firing of nurses Mitchell and Galle earlier this year.
The board meeting begins tomorrow night at 7 PM.
A pre-trial hearing in the criminal trial against the two former Winkler Co. nurses is set for October 21st.
